Day 1.: bicycle free
Estonia: the medieval Tallinn

Individual arrival to Tallinn. The Nature Travel representative will greet you in your hotel in the late afternoon at 6 p.m. (local time). After that, a guided tour of the Old Town of Tallinn is scheduled. Accommodation in a hotel in Tallinn.

Day 2.: ca. 52 km by bike, ca. 60 km by bus
Estonia: Lahemaa National Park

After breakfast bus transfer to the Lahemaa National Park where your first bicycle trip starts. This is one of the last unspoilt regions of the Baltic coast. You will cycle through picturesque forests and meadows and along the stony seashores with erratic rocks left over from the last Ice Age. Accommodation in the area of Lahemaa National Park.

Day 3.: ca. 48 km by bike, ca. 150 km by bus
Estonia: Peipsi Lake and University City – Tartu

In the morning you will go by bus to Kallaste, where you will admire the sandstone outcrop. You will begin your today’s enjoyable cycle tour on the shore of the Peipsi Lake (the fifth largest lake in Europe). The Estonian-Russian border runs right through the middle of the lake. You will reach your hotel in Tartu late in the afternoon. In the late evening free time in Tartu. Landmarks include the Old Town with the famous Kissing Students fountain, classical main building of the University and an imposing ruin of the Tartu Cathedral. Accommodation in Tartu.

Day 4.: ca. 45 km by bike, ca. 205 km by bus
Estonia – „Estonian Switzerland“ – Latvia

After a short bus transfer you will get to the Otepää region, called „Estonian Switzerland“. This day’s cycling tour leads through its scenic hills (height differences up to 280 meters). Finally bus transfer to Riga (Latvia). Accommodation in Riga.

Day 5.: bicycle free
Latvia: Riga – City of Culture

Riga is an exciting European metropolis and this day we will take our time to explore its architectural gems including some fantastic facades of Art Nouveau. In the morning we will have a walking guided tour (ca. 3 hours) and then lunch in a restaurant in the Old Town (as part of our HB). Afterwards free time to explore the city on your own. Accommodation as on day 4.

Day 6.: ca. 30 km by bike, ca. 200 km by bus
Latvia: Jurmala – Seaside resort

In the morning you will take a train/ bus towards Jurmala. You will start cycling out of town following a nice cycle path to Jurmala, a charming sea resort. By bike you will explore its white, sandy beaches and its unique architectural blend from wooden 19th century villas to contemporary masterpieces. Do not miss the opportunity to have a swim in the sea! Bus transfer to Liepaja (you will reach your hotel late in the afternoon). Accommodation in Liepaja.

Day 7.: ca. 45 km by bike, ca. 65 km by bus
Latvia – Lithuania: Klaipeda/Memel

After breakfast bus transfer directly to Lithuania. This day’s tour leads along the Baltic Coast, on a beautiful cycle route from Sventoji to Klaipeda. On the way you can have a break in Palanga, a popular seaside town where you can enjoy the atmosphere in one of the numerous cafe’s (also worth visiting is the botanical garden and the amber museum). In the late afternoon you will arrive in your hotel in Klaipeda – take your time and explore the Old Town. Accommodation in Klaipeda.

Day 8.: ca. 60 km by bike, ca. 50 km by bus
Lithuania: Curonian Spit – a day to our senses

AAfter breakfast we cross the Curonian Lagoon by ferry in a few minutes and reach the 98 km long and narrow tongue of land, the Curonian Spit. Because of the highest dunes (up to 60 m), it is also called the “Lithuanian Sahara”. On the way in the settlement of Juodkrantė we make a stop and admire the bizarre carvings of the Lithuanian world of legends on the so-called Witch Hill. Break for lunch and we continue cycling along the Baltic Sea Coast to Nida, a former artist colony. A boat trip (about 2 hours) to the Lithuanian mainland will end a wonderful day. The Curonian Lagoon is almost 20 km wide at this point, so the opposite shore is difficult to see with the naked eye. On the river Minija we reach the mainland again. Overnight in Klaipeda or Minija.

Day 9.: ca. 50 km by bike, ca. 210 km by bus
Lithuania: the Curonian Lagoon

After breakfast take a bike ride towards Vente, where you will discover the bird sanctuary and the 19th-century lighthouse. We reach our hotel in the former capital of Lithuania, Kaunas, by bus late in the afternoon. Overnight in Kaunas..

Day 10: ca. 34 km by bike, ca. 100 km by bus
Lithuania: Trakai Castle and the Capital Vilnius

After breakfast you will go by bus to the Lithuanian lake district. There you will cycle through its picturesque undulating terrain and reach Trakai – the famous gothic castle, situated on the island on the Galve lake. After a short guided tour of the castle you will go by bus to Vilnius (30 km). In the evening a guided walking tour through the beautiful Old Town of the Lithuanian capital (ca. 2 hours) is scheduled. Accommodation in Vilnius – in a good hotel in the city centre.

Day 11.
Lithuania: End of the tour
Individual departure after breakfast. It is possible to extend your stay in Vilnius.

Condition of roads:
Slightly elevated, asphalt roads, on one occasion – gravel road.
