Along the Vistula from Kraków/Cracow to Warsaw

Day 1. Kraków

Arrival to Kraków. At scheduled time, the meeting with our representative, who will pass your bikes and route descriptions to you. Then, a guided tour of Kraków. You will learn about the city’s history and see the most important places, such as the main market, St. Mary’s Basilica, the Cloth Halls, St. Florian’s Gate, Wawel. In the evening we advise you to take a walk in Kazimierz district.

Day 2. Kraków – Wieliczka – Niepołomice – Niepołomice Forest – Nowe Brzesko

Distance: about 53 km

Elevations: 132 m – 136 m

After breakfast you will leave your luggage in the reception and start cycling. You will start at the dragon monument and head for the Wieliczka salt mine, where we have about 1-hour guided tour scheduled. Then, cycling further we reach Niepołomice, where we can see the XIVth century castle. Further, you will cycle through Niepołomice forest to your destination, Nowe Brzesko.

Day 3.    Nowe Brzesko – Uście Solne – Zalipie – Baranów Sandomierski

Distance: about 53 km by bike, by bus about 70 km

Elevations: 33 m – 62 m

From Nowe Brzesko you will take the bike road, to reach Zalipie at the end. Optionally, we advise you to visit the the house of artist Felicja Curyłowa. Your driver will be waiting for you to take you to your accommodation in Baranów Sandomierski. After checking in we recommend you to stroll the gardens and the castle there.

Day 4.    Baranów Sandomierski – Krzyztopor Castle – Sandomierz

Distance: about 50 km

Elevations: 23 m – 56 m

After the breakfast bus transfer to medieval Castle in Ujazd (ca 40 km ride). We strongly recommend visit there. Cycling along fruit orchads you will reach beautiful Sandomierz, with its picturesque old town on the hill. Its atmosphere and architecture may remind you of Kraków, although definitely a less crowded one. Before entering Sandomierz we recommend you to make a pause and take a walk in the gorges, and take some photos. After checking in, you have a guided city tour scheduled

Day 5.  Sandomierz – Józefów nad Wisłą

Distance: about 53 km

Elevations: 211 m – 246 m

After breakfast you will start another day of the tour. Cycling along the banks of Vistula you will have a chance to spot numerous bird species. Eventually, you are going to reach Józefów, where awaits your accommodation for the day.

Day 6.  Józefów nad Wisłą – Kazimierz Dolny

Distance:about 50 km

Elevations: 111 m – 124 m

After breakfast bus transfer to Józefów nad Wisłą. The tour takes you to Kazimierz Dolny, which was once an important river port. Numerous granaries, which have been located there now function as pensions and hotels. Before reaching your destination, you will observe the virgin nature, many rare animal and plant species in the Kazimierz Landscape Park. After reaching the destination, we recommend you to stroll the streets of Kazimierz.

Day 7. Kazimierz Dolny – Nałęczów – train or bus transfer to Warsaw

Distance: about 20 km

Elevations: 118 m – 164 m

Today, the last day of the trip will take you to the spa town of Nałęczów. Thanks to the microclimate of Nałęczów and the healing effects of the local water, it was named a spa town. We recommend a walk through the spa park. At the agreed time at the train station, you will meet a representative of our company who will hand over your luggage and collect the rental bikes. From the train station in Nałęczów, you will travel by bus to Warsaw. In the afternoon you can expect a detailed tour of the Polish capital (approx. 2 hours long).

Day 8. Individual departure

Individual departure after breakfast. It is possible to extend your stay in Warsaw.
